With a few simple additions to our daily diet, we can help create an a healthy environment inside our bodies. Our body is designed to stay “alkaline” and it automatically tries to stay in an alkaline state. When we eat and drink acidic foods, stop exercising, and get consumed with negative emotions, our body gets overwhelmed with acid and this causes major disruption in tour bodies natural balance. The acid foods are the foods that most of us already know are bad for us (cola, chips, chocolate, sweets, burgers, dairy) and the alkaline foods are the ones we know are good or healthy for us (fresh foods, leafy green vegetables, salads, nuts)
To have a healthy alkaline body, focus on getting 70-80% of your diet from alkaline foods and try to limit your intake of acidic foods.
